The base color is China Glaze’s Crimson, which is a very deep purple. The formula is a little off – it bled pretty badly into my cuticles and required a lot of clean-up – but other than a few smudges I made myself, this was a one-coater, which I appreciate. The wings were China Glaze’s Cosmic Dust (the silver holo) under a sweep of China Glaze Liquid Crystal (the sparkles). Super shiny!
The body of the dragonfly is Ruby Wing’s Poppy, which I received in my last Birchbox. This nail polish actually changes color in the sunlight, so it was perfect for Friday, which was such a lovely day.
This is what it looks like darker, which was also very nice. The polish starts out super hot pink, but darkens nicely in the sun. Here’s a side-by-side comparison for you.
I don’t have any high quality shots of my full hand, but my stress over finals and graduation is causing some serious chipping and crumbling – I’m down to nubbins, through no fault of my own. Sadface.
I bought a bunch of Zoyas, so I should have some fun manicures using those as soon as I get them in the mail!
